Brainstorming and basic planning
• Make a list of as many different situations, etc. where a female character may be able to challenge social attitudes towards women. Remember we talked about a number yesterday but there would be hundreds of others (either real-life or imaginary) that you come up with.
• Make a list of as many different settings your story could take place. Again, they could be real or imagined.
• Make a list of what times your story could be set in. E.g. Past, present, future.
• Start to refine your lists so that you can work towards a clear idea for your eventual story.
• Once you have refined the lists to a central idea, you could start to develop your female protagonist.
